Elevator

This is was a randomly tall 13 story parking garage I wondered into. The warm elevators were a relief and the change in enviroment while entering them was strangely comforting. I soon discovered it was parking for the Assurant corporation or something and after being eyed down security guard driving by I decided to leave.

Stationary Train

Walking across the bridge between south and downtown Milwaukee, the sound of a stationary Amktrak train gave off strange sounds, even from several hundred feet away. I would've waited for take off, but after 20 minutues there were still technicians waiting right by it.

Draw Bridge

The double draw bridge connecting downtown Milwaukee with Southern Milwaukee is a strange area where an unusual amount of grass can be seen off the shore, at least from what the snow seemed to be covering. The metal bridge can be lifted from both sides to allowing large boats to come through. The instability of this bridge gives off an echoing reverberation.

Unexplained Squeaking

Wandering Southward, right outside the 3rd ward I found a large block of very large, but seemingly industrial and desolate apartments. Wandering through an alley I found strange squeaking noise outside what is probably a laundry or maintenance room. I could hear a distinct ticking noise in the background if I focused on it.

Seagulls

Walking East, I noticed a group of high flying sea gulls. They flew in a very large circle and didn't make a lot of noise most of the time. It was a little after 4 in the afternoon as the last bit of bright daylight began its transition into dusk.

Outward Spiral

I started in front of the Amtrak Station right off the freeway, the are surrounding area contained diversified environment in all directions do I covered the surround area in an efficient spiral pattern. I like how I was exploring the border of the Milwaukee's downtown and south side. I decided to only go right if able, straight if not available, and left if there is no other option, around the train station, skipping streets I had already walked down. I ended up an a multitude of different areas and it was almost confusing at times because a lot of barriers prevented me from covering an entire area around my starting point. This area provided me with a lot of negative spaces that people might not Its provided me with an interesting approach to uncovering the surrounding because after the first circle I had a constant feeling of deja vu.
